      Harrowing History

      Bordentown is full of dark deeds and a hidden, sometimes gruesome, past. Harrowing History peels back the towns charming exterior and takes a hard look at the Citys darker, tragic happenings. Join us for an evening of macabre entertainment! Six of Bordentowns most shocking 19th and early 20th century true tales will come to life in an evening of theatrical storytelling, presented by the Bordentown Historical Society. Costumed storytellers will transport you back in time to reveal stories about murder, mayhem, and tragedy as reported at the time. This storyteller performance will give you goose bumps and thrills! You may have heard the rumors, now hear and experience the truth behind many of those stories. Tickets are $20/per person and must be purchased online. Tickets will not be available for purchase on-site. Proof of a receipt of purchase from a Bordentown DBA merchant dated within 7 days qualifies for a $5 refund per total ticket purchase, per receipt. Refund offered in cash at the event. Support our local businesses. Dates: Saturday, September 19th, 7-8:30 PM Saturday, September 26th, 7-8:30 PM Saturday, October 3rd, 7-8:30 PM Saturday, October 10th, 7-8:30 PM Saturday, October 17th, 7-8:30 PM Saturday, October 24th, 6-7:30 PM Saturday, November 7th, 6-7:30 PM People will be seated according to ticket purchases. Groups will be seated together. This event will be held outside under a tent. CDC guidance and state regulations will be followed. In the event of inclement weather, shows will be hosted indoors as permitted by regulations. In the event of inclement weather and regulations prohibit indoor performances, refunds will be granted upon cancellation of the event. Performances will be offered following all prevailing precautions in respect of COVID-19. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks at all times. No restrooms available on-site. Parking is available on-site. *Some material may be inappropriate for children under the age of 13. By purchasing these tickets you agree to the following for your party (YOU or YOUR): YOU acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. YOU further acknowledge that the Bordentown Historical Society has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. YOU further acknowledge that the Bordentown Historical Society cannot guarantee that YOU will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. YOU understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, volunteers, and other patrons and their families. YOU voluntarily seek entertainment provided by the Bordentown Historical Society and acknowledge that YOU are increasing YOUR risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. YOU acknowledge that YOU must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending these events. YOU attest that: * YOU are not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell. * YOU have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days. * YOU have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 14 days. * YOU do not believe YOU have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. * YOU have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non contagious by state or local public health authorities. * YOU are following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. YOU hereby release and agree to hold the Bordentown Historical harmless from, and waive on behalf of Yourself, Your heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to Yourself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the Bordentown Historical Society, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with the entertainment provided by the Bordentown Historical Society. You understand that this release discharges the Bordentown Historical Society from any liability or claim that You, Your heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the Bordentown Historical Society with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any entertainment provided by the Bordentown Historical Society. This liability waiver and release extends to the Bordentown Historical Society together with all Trustees, partners, and volunteers.
